Prevention

Prevention has become increasingly important in recent years. Rising demands in the workplace in particular present a substantial risk potential for diseases. This can have consequences for both the cardiovascular system, in particular in the form of arteriosclerosis diseases such as heart attacks and strokes, as well as the growing number of fatigue cases requiring treatment. These risks can be effectively counteracted by influencing the patient’s lifestyle.

Developed over many years, the METTNAU concept is based on three pillars: diagnostics, therapy and nutrition.

Diagnostics include analysing risk factors, detecting potential effects on the heart and blood vessels, as well as assessing the individual patient’s exposure and regenerative capacity (vegetative functional analysis and, where appropriate, sleep diagnostics). Recommendations for meaningful physical training can be specified by sports medical performance diagnostics.

Psychological counselling and relaxation exercises have the purpose of improving the patient’s ability to deal with negative stress and preventing a burnout.

In terms of treatment, we rely on individually prescribed physical activity. Movement therapy not only boosts physical performance, but also positively influences risk factors and stress tolerance. We offer information on appropriate physical and sporting activities to help patients in their everyday life. Additional physiotherapeutic treatment with instructions for individual exercises can relieve persistent complaints of the musculoskeletal system.

A healthy diet also plays an important role. This topic is explored in detail and information provided in lectures, seminars and individual consultations.

This blend of activity, relaxation and nutrition should help you to deal better with the stress of everyday life.
