There is a contract (according to Section 21, SGB IX) for the Werner-Messmer-Klinik. Services for medical rehabilitation
(Section 15, SGB VI), including follow-up rehabilitation, are provided by us exclusively in this clinic, accommodation in another hospital is not possible. The stay usually lasts 3 weeks. Our rehabilitation facility is certified in accordance with Section 20, SGB IX and by TÜV DIN ISO 9001.

Health insurance company
Statutory health insurance (AOK, IKK, Landwirtschaftl. KK, Deutsche Rentenversicherung Knappschaft-Bahn-See, BKK) and Ersatzkassen (substitute funds) (VdEK: Bamer GEK, TKK, DAK, KKH-Allianz, HEK)
There is a benefits contract according to § 111 SGB V on medical rehabilitation benefits § 40, SGB V including the follow-up rehabilitation (AR). The stay usually lasts no longer than 20 treatment days. Our rehabilitation facility is certified in accordance with Section 20, SGB IX and by TÜV DIN ISO 9001. Follow-up rehabilitation (inpatient or outpatient) is performed exclusively in the Werner-Messmer-Klinik.
Medical prevention services
Statutory health insurance and the auxiliary pension funds can grant you outpatient prevention benefits (formerly "outpatient spa therapy") on request. A spa physician is employed by us who is authorised to accept the so-called spa physician certificate. He will also prescribe your appropriate therapies. The invoice comes directly from us with the appropriate health insurance.
Inpatient stays via free therapeutic care
This applies to members of the police, armed forces and the Federal Border Guard. Please consult your physician and your health insurance and enquire about the individual prerequisites. For our facilities, there is a prevention contract according to § 111 SGB V with the statutory health insurance.
Inpatient stay for direct payers
For direct payers, there are various ways to book an inpatient stay in the hospital:
- as a true direct payer: You can freely combine the medical and therapeutic benefits or select one of our health programmes in consultation with the physician.
- as a state-aid authorised employee in government service: Our establishment is recognised by state aid provisions. For approval of an inpatient stay, an official medical examination by a medical officer is necessary, as a rule, in which the need for an inpatient rehabilitation measure is examined. You receive the approval decision from your state aid agency.
- as direct payer who is entitled to reimbursement by private health insurance: Please check before a stay with your private health insurance whether and to what extent the cost of a stay will be assumed.
You can book the accommodation through our reservations department yourself. At the beginning of your stay, you get a physician's appointment and a stress ECG is done to be able to perform physical activities according to your resilience. During the initial medical examination, the therapeutic regulations will be established and if necessary, further medical tests done.
For the costs of accommodation/meals in the individual hospitals and therapeutic services, please refer to the currently valid price list. The medical services are billed according to the fee rules for physicians (GÖA).

Inpatient stays via company programmes
We have completed numerous corporate contracts for various health programmes. The contract content is individually adapted (accommodation, services, prices). We offer coordinated health programmes to interested companies (health seminars for executives with, e.g. stays for prevention and rehabilitation of up to 3 weeks duration (Fit for Job).
